Our Philosophy

Quality Control

Communication

We may be in the auto repair business, but we’re also in the communication business. We know that excellent communication is the key to a long, happy relationship, one that is based on trust and honesty. If at any time you wish to speak with the technician who is working on your car, we encourage you to do so. We want you to have a thorough understanding of the work that is being performed, as well as the best timetable for routine maintenance for your particular vehicle.

Before proceeding with repairs, we are happy to provide a written estimate if you would like one. We will notify you if we find other issues that will cause the estimate to change significantly.

There are few things more frustrating than picking your car up from a service shop only to find that the problem you brought it in for, wasn’t fixed correctly. That is why we take steps to ensure quality control from the moment you call us and make an appointment, to when you pick your car up after the repair. All of our appointments and record keeping are both hand written and computerized – so we can instantly look up to see when your last oil change was, and if there were any recommendations at your last service. We write down everything: your service requests, notes from the technician, and any other pertinent information. All of this goes on the repair order, and into the vehicle history in our computer. Each vehicle is test driven after the repair to make sure that the initial customer complaint has been resolved.

Parts and Labor

Using top quality parts and fluids are another important aspect of quality control. We buy only OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts, unless there is a superior product available. Through our decades of experience, we know which brands hold up long term, and which ones don’t. We warranty everything we do, and that’s another reason we use only top quality products.

Owners Aaron Murphy and Amy Rees are always in the shop during business hours (at least one, and usually both of them). So no matter what, you can speak to an owner of the business when you call or stop in. Our number one priority is the safety and satisfaction of our customers.

The Environment

Are you concerned about the environmental impact of changing your oil or other fluids? You don’t have to be when you have the work done here. We use the waste engine oil, brake fluid and other oils to heat our building in the winter – so none of these fluids end up where they shouldn’t. Through various vendors, we also recycle about 90% of our other waste, including used tires, coolant, starters, alternators, brake calipers, many power steering and water pumps, brake rotors, plastic containers, cardboard and packing material. We do our best to be environmentally conscious.

Convenience

We designed it with you in mind: a clean waiting area with comfortable leather chairs, new magazines to read, free WIFI and fresh hot coffee or tea. You can also look through the windows into the shop and see your car on being worked on.

For jobs that take longer than an hour, we have several good quality loaner vehicles available at no charge for our customers. If you are in need of a car for more than two days, Enterprise Rental Car is just 10 minutes away in Augusta.

Our shop is located just 2.5 miles from I-295 and about 3.5 miles from the Maine Turnpike. Our Central location in the State means that our customers come from all over: as far North as Caribou, East from Camden / Rockland, West from Paris and South from Portland and even Kittery.

We understand that your life is busy. That’s why we offer email appointment reminders as well after-hour pick up and drop off.

If you have a special vehicle that you don’t want to take out on the road, we have an enclosed car transport trailer and can pick up or deliver your vehicle safely and carefully. We are fully licensed and insured.

Warranty

We offer a 100% guarantee on parts and labor for 12 months or 12,000 miles (some exclusions apply).
